The Living Lakes Biodiversity and Climate Project contributes to the conservation and restoration of lakes and wetlands and the protection of the biodiversity associated with them.
The project analyzes conflict areas of different groups of actors in the forest such as recreationists, mountain bikers, hikers, foresters, forest workers, etc., promotes mutual understanding and actively contributes to the reduction of various conflicts of use in the forest (in number and scope) and to nature conservation in the forest.
The project aims to develop a certification system for peat substitutes that verifies the ecological, social and economic sustainability of the various substitutes.
Kids learn about different habitats, wild herbs and pollinating insects (with a focus on wild bees) in a playful and active way and are supported to get involved in biodiversity and wild bee protection in their living environment.
